GETT
Girls Exploring Trades and Technology

OVERVIEW

Girls Exploring Trades and Technology (GETT) introduces girls to technology and trade careers and encourages them to consider a variety of career choices. The GETT program reinforces the importance of taking science; advanced math subjects and industrial arts in high school by stressing the impact those subjects have on career decisions. Junior High is an important time for girls because they begin to make course decisions that affect future career choices.

GETT camps have taken place every year since 2005 in various communities across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador including Corner Brook, Placentia, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, St. John's, Seal Cove, Burin, Baie Verte, Grand Falls- Windsor, Ramea, and Stephenville Crossing.

Girls Exploring Trades and Technology offers participants a unique opportunity to consider the variety of careers in active, enjoyable programs.
