Stephenville - August 9-13, 2010

QUALIFICATIONS

Are you a woman, 17 years of age or older, interested in finding out more about becoming a firefighter? Interested in developing your leadership skills? Looking for a Career change? Interested in a possible volunteer venture in your community?

Camp Glow may be for you. It's a weeklong fire camp that incorporates classes, hands-on activities, and physical training in the fire service environment. You'll get a chance to learn in a supportive environment, challenge yourself to your physical limits and get an idea what firefighting is really about.

In order to qualify participants must

• be in good physical and mental condition
• be 17 years of age or older
• have a good attitude
• commit to follow all rules and regulations of Camp Glow and to participate in all hands on activities and classes
• have not attended camp glow before
• successfully pass an interview screening

HOW TO APPLY

If you wish to apply to Camp GLOW;

• Fill out the Application Form
• Be seen by a Marine Institute approved physician. This must be done after acceptance to camp.
  See physician list.
• Fill out the Health Form
• Fill out the Waiver Form(s) - Foxtrap or Stephenville
• Obtain a letter of reference from your Phys Ed Teacher, Sports Coach or Guidance Counselor or from a non-family member who can attest to your physical ability and desire to pursue this challenge.
