CAREERS

Careers There are a variety of careers in the Mining sector, from actually extracting the mineral, to processing it, to working for a large company or a government agency (such as the Department of Natural Resources).

Before making a career-related decision, you should research what is entailed: what kind of education do you need, how likely are you to get a job, where will you probably be working, etc.

Learn about the exciting career choices available in the mining industry! Mining Industry Human Resources (MIHR) has just launched a career video library as part of a strategy to address the mining sector’s serious skills shortage. Three of the showcased careers are women working at IOC in Labrador:

  • Heavy Equipment Operator
  • Minerals Process Engineer
  • Minerals Processing Operator
